About Us

The Town of West Yellowstone is pleased to offer a year-round recreation program for residents and visitors.   Over the course of several years, a seasonal day-camp program for kids under 12 has grown into offering something for nearly everyone.

The Town’s goal is to provide the community with affordable social, physical, recreational and cultural programs that enrich the lives of our youth and adults.  The Town of West Yellowstone Parks, Recreation Department oversees and maintains the designated park areas in Town, the Historic District and historical structures.

POVAH COMMUNITY CENTER

The Povah Center is approximately 1300 sq. feet. It is ideal for groups of 90 or can accommodate up to 260 for receptions.  The Povah center includes a large kitchen, dining facility and a separate meeting room.

UNION PACIFIC DINING LODGE

The Union Pacific Dining Lodge was constructed in 1908 with only a kitchen and a serving area.  By 1920 the UPDL had become so popular that there was a need for more space to accommodate more guests and so a rest pavilion was built in 1922

PIONEER PARK PAVILION

The Town of West Yellowstone owns a pavilion located on the south side of pioneer Park on Firehole Avenue (US Highway 20). The use of the premises is a privilege, and an application is required to reserve the pavilion.
